How is this raw cookie dough safe to eat? Normally it is not advisable to eat raw cookie dough as flour usually comes straight from the field, only being ground and bagged on the way. That means that any bacteria that is present on the plant in the field can still be in the flour before you bake it, running the risk of food poisoning and bacterial infections such as salmonella. We use heat treated flour which is heated to kill all the bad bacteria before it is bagged and sold. We also do not use eggs.
How long will the Cookie Dough last? Our Cookie Dough can be refrigerated for up to four weeks and frozen for up to 12 months. It can stored at room temperature for up to three weeks, and we suggest this is the best way to enjoy!
We will take every action we can to get your Cookie Dough Egg to you in one piece, but please do bare in mind that the chocolate egg might crack in transit.
