Cookie Queen was established in 2020. We had planned to launch the brand, then the first lockdown of 2020 hit! After a bit of panic, like the rest of the world, we decided to alter the direction and offer a home delivery service during the lockdown. Social media went a little crazy for us. We were selling out in 15 minutes each week!

When the lockdown was easing we starting to have local cafes contacting us asking if we supply wholesale? Again this was not the original direction we were planning to travel in straight away, but wow! What a response! By the end of summer 2020, we were now stocking at least ten local cafes and baking to absolute capacity from our home kitchen! We even had to ask for help with all the baking.

Our website was launched which helped enable us to move our home local delivery to a nationwide delivery service fulfilled by Royal Mail which we plan to keep expanding.

Over the summer of 2020 local farmers’ markets reopened and we loved to get back out there and meet some of our lovely customers. At times we had a queue several people deep! Socially distanced of course. The success of local markets continued over the festive period. What a busy time for us!

In the background, we had been securing funding, planning, and kitting out our new commercial kitchen which is now set up in Redruth.

From the brand new Cookie Queen HQ, we can build on the success from last year, which for many has been one of the hardest times, and we are so grateful to be in the position we are in. We hope to take on more local cafes and farm shops, attend more local farmers’ markets and fingers crossed for larger foodie events, as well as build on our nationwide postal delivery service.

We have some more Cookie-based products in the pipeline and are always on the lookout for something new to try.
